WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 (UPI) — Losing weight through exercise prevents the loss of bone density that occurs from just cutting calories to shed pounds, a new study has found.

As the nation’s waistline continues to grow, weight loss and healthy eating consistently remain among the top New Year’s resolutions. However, many dieters get easily discouraged when they start a weight-loss plan.

Most residents opposed the temporary lifting of weight restrictions at Minden Tahoe Airport, the proposal debated at Thursday’s meeting of the Douglas County Commissioners.
